SPORTS CARNIVAL 2010
VOLLEYBALL [BOYS]
RULES
- Participants cannot change the teams that they have been allocated to.
- The game will be played between two teams of 6 players each
- Each game, except for the semi-finals and finals, will last for 5 minutes. The team that garners the most points when the time is up will win the game.
- For semi-finals and finals, the game will play to 25 points (withno deuce but with sudden death)
- For every service, a different player will have to make the service (Special condition for service: players who are not able to serve using the conventional method may be allowed to throw the ball using one hand from the back of the court to start the game going)
- Each team is allowed to make as many substitutions necessary from the allocated members in the team
- The game is played following a knock-out system in which a losing team will be eliminated while the winning team will progress to the next round
- Apart from the special condition for service, the technical rules and scoring of the game will follow the normal volleyball game
- The decision of the Chief Umpires (teachers in-charge) and the Game Umpires (student leaders) is final. Any form of argument with the officials will cause the team to be disqualified and subsequently, disciplinarily dealt with
- In the event of a tie, the game will do into sudden death. For example, if the score is tied at 14-14 and the 5 minutes is up, whicever team that gets 15 points next will win the game

MODIFIED NETBALL [GIRLS]
RULES
- Participants cannot change the teams that they have been allocated to.
- The game will be played between two teams of 7 players each
- Each game, except for the semi-finals and finals, will last for 5 minutes
- There will be no fix positions allocated to each player
- Only 4 players are allowed witthin the semi-circle in front of the goal post, 2 players from each team
- Each team is allowed to make as many substitutions necessary
- The game is played following a knock-out syustem in which a losing team will be eliminated while the winning team will progress to the next round
- Apart from the special condition for positions, the technical rules and scoring of the game will follow the normal netball game
- The decision of the Chief Umpires (teachers in-charge) and the Game Umpires (student leaders) is final. Any form of argument with the officials will cause the team to be disqualified and subsequently, disciplinarily dealt with
- In the event of a tie, the game will do into sudden death

0730 - 0740 Flag Raising Ceremony
0740 - 0750 Distribution of Red Packets by Miss Foo
0750 - 0830 Concert at the Courtyard
0840 - 0930 Tossing of Yu Sheng [Proceed to Hall]
0930 - 1000 Cleaning up. [10 lucky members will be selected by Jorin, good luck]
1000 - 1030 CIP Briefing
1030 - 1100 Recess
1110 - 1115 Assemble in courtyard, Chairman and 4 boys collect oranges. [Miss Foo should be here by 11.10am]
1115 - 1200 Miss Foo divides us into groups and remind us on dos and don'ts. We start distributing oranges to resisdents.
1200 - 1215 Gather at void deck. Miss Foo takes attendance and we are released.
Things to note.
-After the briefing, excluding those who are collecting the oranges, proceed immediately to the assigned block.
-If resisdents are not at home, hang the bags of oranges at the door.
Attire : No infomation, should be normal school uniform(?)
