Hello everyone. With the O levels coming to a close, it is time for the much anticipated class chalet. I am sure most of you would have received Xin Kai's SMS regarding the chalet, so I'll give you information about the two choices. Please inform Javier @ 97336417 of your choice, via SMS. "Sentosa", "Downtown East" or "Anything" (which also means not voting for anything). I would appreciate it if everybody replied regardless of choice.

I had once tried to organise a chalet during the sec 3 days but the lack of replies made it impossible. I really want this to work out. The details are as follows:

Please extend your cards at any Sales Machines between 27 September 2010 and 26 November 2010.

The card will be valid for use till 31 December 2011 (after extension)

Important Conditions

Hey hey, we got some announcement. Actually, there's only one.

The photo-taking session will be held either on 25052010 or 27052010. I'm not really sure when the actual day is, but... just play by ear. In case some of you weren't paying attention or sleeping in class during Form Class, we all agreed on the BIRTHDAY and SLEEPING theme. Yay!!!

Here are the things that we have to bring individually:

#1 Class tee
the pink one with the superman picture

#2 Stuffed animals
i.e. teddy bears, kangaroos, elephants, dinosaurs..
it has to be an animal

#3 Presents
wrapped nicely
costs between $5 - $8
we'll draw lots and everyone will randomly get them..

#4 Party things
the stick thing that you blow into and it creates a sound and something will roll out
or the party poppers/ party poopers
or anything that you think is festive

Here are the things for VIPs, as in the people bringing important extra stuffs:

There are a few things for us to do:

#01 Someone must be the narrator.

#02 Someone must move around signs with words on them.

#03 We need cardboard or anything to write the teachers' names on them.

#04 We need used A4 sized papers for the homework.

#05 Someone has to ask a Math teacher for a big protractor.

#06 We need Mr Lim's bag.

#07 We need "wires" for when Mr Lim comes to our class and set up his mike.

#08 We need a laptop.

#09 We need to stay back after Timed Practice on Monday to have a practice.

#10 We also need to do props I just mentioned.

#11 We need JORIN TO HELP WRITE OUT WHAT THE NARRATOR IS GOING TO SAY.

#12 We don't really need to memorize the script word for word.

PHYSICAL FITNESS TESTS 2010
5 Items Test

Day : Wednesday(Day 8)
Date : 24 March 2010
Time : 2.30 pm - 5.00pm

1) Report early to the test centre as a class in proper attire
-School T-shirt and PE shorts (track shoes are permitted during the test)

2) Do not handle the score sheet. It stays with the class/group representative from station to station.

3) Move to each station quickly to avoid a lengthy test period.

4) Only one attempt is allowed per station. Two attempts allowed for Standing Board Jump. Only failures will be allowed to re-attempt the test item.

5) You may be asked to return to the failed station after all 5 items are attempted if you cannot clear a particular station after a few attempts.

6) Score sheets are to be returned to your teachers after the test immediately.

7) You may leave once the score sheets are submitted. Do report to your CCA immediately if there is CCA on the same day.

Those are what is written on the piece of paper for our Physical Fitness Test Schedule.

I'm not too sure about timed practice. I think we shall skip it.

SPORTS CARNIVAL 2010

VOLLEYBALL [BOYS]

RULES

- Participants cannot change the teams that they have been allocated to.

- The game will be played between two teams of 6 players each

- Each game, except for the semi-finals and finals, will last for 5 minutes. The team that garners the most points when the time is up will win the game.

- For semi-finals and finals, the game will play to 25 points (withno deuce but with sudden death)

- For every service, a different player will have to make the service (Special condition for service: players who are not able to serve using the conventional method may be allowed to throw the ball using one hand from the back of the court to start the game going)

- Each team is allowed to make as many substitutions necessary from the allocated members in the team

- The game is played following a knock-out system in which a losing team will be eliminated while the winning team will progress to the next round

- Apart from the special condition for service, the technical rules and scoring of the game will follow the normal volleyball game

- The decision of the Chief Umpires (teachers in-charge) and the Game Umpires (student leaders) is final. Any form of argument with the officials will cause the team to be disqualified and subsequently, disciplinarily dealt with

- In the event of a tie, the game will do into sudden death. For example, if the score is tied at 14-14 and the 5 minutes is up, whicever team that gets 15 points next will win the game

0930 - 1000 Cleaning up. [10 lucky members will be selected by Jorin, good luck]

1110 - 1115 Assemble in courtyard, Chairman and 4 boys collect oranges. [Miss Foo should be here by 11.10am]
1115 - 1200 Miss Foo divides us into groups and remind us on dos and don'ts. We start distributing oranges to resisdents.
1200 - 1215 Gather at void deck. Miss Foo takes attendance and we are released.

Things to note.
-After the briefing, excluding those who are collecting the oranges, proceed immediately to the assigned block.
-If resisdents are not at home, hang the bags of oranges at the door.

Ok, here's the routine, as always - Adelson posts up a downloadable timetable, I put it on the blog itself.

Anyway, I heard Ms Foo talk about one reason for not wearing ankle socks: they don't ease chafing between your foot and your footwear. This is true, by the way. Especially if you wear canvas shoes like I do. They lack a cushion between your foot and the shoe, so it's understandable that there may be some uncomfortable friction.

But if you buy canvas shoes, you should have expected that. Unless you have intended to do your homework: You see the edges where they lack cushion? These rub against your foot like teeth. Hello there! once again, failure xinkai here. as there has been near ZERO response for class chalet/outing, i have decided to TOTALLY call that off. Sorry for those enthu ppl wanting it though.

anyway, since we dun have an outing, i'm deciding to make it up with CLASS TEE + JACKET (kelly's idea)

First off, class tee. a design has been drafted up, pending further finalisation, will post it here when its done. just for a little visual effect, imagine a white shirt, with a superman-like logo at the front. something along that line. then, the back is a calender-like design that encloses our name.

Now, i need you guys to vote.

Material: Cotton? Dri-fit?

Style: T-shirt? Polo?

Next, jacket. since we're going to have an air-conditioned classroom, i guess a jacket is rather practical. The design is still in the process of drafting, cos i wanna do these one at a time. However, i need you guys to confirm if u want a jacket, as it will not be very cheap.

Some announcements.

I heard T1 helped us wash our floors with water after their "Ha-ha-haha-aunted house". So please keep the floors clean and maybe thank them for it? ^^

Also, L1 students had to clear their lockers on the bazaar day but had no where to put their books. So they borrowed the empty places at the back of our classroom to place their books. Don't go touch them when you see them tomorrow, later we get blamed for stealing their books.

Hey 3T2Morrowians

This is our last chance this year to show to our teachers, and the other Secondary 3 cl-asses, what 2Morrowians are truly made of. We are 2Morrowians not because we look forward to tomorrow or procrastinate a lot, but because we will make our teachers have a better and greater tomorrow at the end of the day - year.

Keep in mind that we are not only studious and zealous about studying. Neither are we 'all play and no work'. Hence, we have to strike a balance with whatever we do. So let's make our EOYs not only stressful but at the same time fun.

Ok, so there is like only a month or so left before our exam is over.
I am planning to organise a class chalet during the End of Year holiday.
Since sharing your views on this on the tagboard is not a very good idea, I think i will most probably be passing down a name list, so that you guys can write down the dates on which you will not be available.

This is especially crucial for the Scholars. I really hope we can have this class chalet, as a whole class, and not with half the class missing.

Hey guys, I've changed the colour of the font in the homework section because it's pink and highlighting it makes it pink. And you can't tell what has been highlighted, which is hyper irritating.

Also, tidied the whole section up because it's in a complete mess. I've also added additional line breaks so it's slightly easier to read. AND WHO WROTE EX 11G AS EX llG. Don't think I can't see ah. LOL.

Anyway, there's a Chemistry test tomorrow. I still don't know if it's a test on every chapter we've learnt, but I guess I'll go revise my metals, periodic table, identification of ions and acid/salt preparation. Yah.
